Hailing from small town Illinois, Donald James Keene was born singing. In 2011 he decided to take his talents to New Orleans. James has played and worked with many different artists and ensembles during his time in the city; you can currently find him fronting The New Orleans Jazz Invaders, a jazz ensemble he founded in early 2014, and on trombone with funk/rock collective The Crooked Vines
